  • Quick Export

    • Quick Export

    Use Quick Export to generate new PDF, DWG, NWC, IFC, DWF, DWFx, DXF, FBX, or Image files from your Revit project. This option is ideal for ad-hoc exports or single view exports. For exports that will be repeated later, consider using Batch Export to standardize all output decisions for all Revit users.

    Export Type

    Select from the supported file types: PDF, DWG, NWC, IFC, DWF, DWFx, DXF, FBX, or Image files. This choice should be made first as it impacts the options below. The list of supported file type can optionally be reduced if so desired. Refer to Export Settings for details.

    Export Setup

    The Export Setup controls most of the critical details regarding the file output from ExportHub. The option here are a function of the selected Export Type above. Refer to Export Setup for details.

    Sheet/View Set

    Select from the available Sheet/View Sets to control which sheets and/or views will be exported. The available options are also based on the selected Export Type above. Learn more: Sheet/View Set Selection. Related topic: Customize Sheet/View Sets

    Naming Rule

    Select from the sample rules: Sheets or Views to control the naming of the exported files by using a mix of parameters and custom variables along with any separator text desired. The available options are limited based on the selected Sheet/View Set above. Learn more: Naming Rules. Related topic: Customize Naming Rules

    Name Preview

    The Name Preview field will display an example of the file name based on the selected Naming Rule and based upon the Sheet/View Set. If the Sheet/View Set has no applicable sheets or views then the Name Preview will indicate so. Use the eye icon to preview the full sets of names.

    Path

    Use the … button to pick a file location for the selected exports. This value is user-specific except if the Project Location has been specified (recommended).

    Package Button

    The Package button can be used to copy the current values from Quick Export as a way of creating a new package This option is available except when the Sheet/View Set is set to <Active View> or <Open Views>. 

    Quick Export Button

    The Quick Export Button will be enabled when all the fields above have valid values. Selecting the green Quick Export button will begin the process of creating the specified files. Ready to try? Check out the Getting Started Guide
