The Ideate Software for Revit software license is locked to a single computer and activated with a license code (see also Standalone Licensing).

Click to launch the licensing component so you can start a trial or activate a license.

Standalone: Return…
Click to launch the standalone licensing component so you can return (deactivate) your activated license. You may then transfer the license to another computer.

Note for system admins: Cloning computers with an activated Standalone license is not supported as it could cause the licensing component to become corrupted. Uninstalling and reinstalling the product will likely not fix the condition. Install the software first, activate only once the hardware is assigned to the end user. Please contact Ideate Support for more help if needed.
Software license is checked out from a cloud license server on product open and returned when the product is closed. The exception is Ideate Sticky with Auto-Update turned on.

Click to launch the licensing component for the initial activation and enter your cloud license code.

Network : License Server
If using network licenses, enter the path to your network license server. Ask you network license administrator for the name of your license server. The usual format entered is @MyServerName.

After a connection to the network license is established, the Borrow License button will be enabled.
