The topic below pertains to all standalone licensed Ideate Software solutions.
NOTE: Cloud network licenses cannot be activated offline. Please see this article for possible solution.
Normally your license is automatically activated using your Internet connection. If you have trouble with access to the internet because of firewall or other direct connectivity issues, you may have to activate your license manually using a website. If you have already activated manually, refer to additional instructions for Manual Deactivation.
To activate your Ideate Software license on a computer where connectivity is a problem:
Within the Offline Activation dialog, select Generate Request Code.
Use the Copy to Clipboard button to copy the Request Code to your clipboard. Transfer the Request Code information to a computer that has internet. You can copy and paste the Request Code into an email or notepad file OR you can use the .txt file referenced in the dialog, Step #3.
Leave this dialog open until the process is complete! On a computer with internet access, access the specified URL and paste in the Request Code and select the Activate button. The activation certificate will appear in the same browser page. Use the Copy function to copy the results to your clipboard. You may need to paste this into an email or notepad file to transfer the information back to the original computer.
Go back to the computer with internet connectivity issues, and paste the activation certificate into Step #4, above.
Select the Activate button to complete.
