A Sticky can be updated manually or automatically in your Revit projects with Ideate Sticky.
Topics in this Section
For easy editing or reviewing of a Sticky, use the Open File button will launch the selected source file when the Folder path is valid and accessible.
The Show button can be used to find a Sticky within the current project. First select the row, then pick the Show button.
From the main dialog, select one Sticky and then use the Update or Update From buttons. The Update From button will allow you to select a different source file and change the worksheet. You may also use the multi-select option to select more than one Sticky, but when this method is used, only the Update button will be available. The Update From option should be used if the name of the worksheet has been changed.
This method also allows mass re-pathing of stickies to another folder (structure) if the Revit model or project is being relocated. This requires for the source files for all selected stickies to be in the same folder (both old and new location), or the old and new folder structure to be the same.
After a Sticky has been created, it can be set to Auto-update. When the Auto-update option is selected, the Sticky will thereafter be automatically updated during the Revit file open process IF the Excel file has also changed. Ideate Sticky will not update the Sticky if the Excel file has not changed.
Note: Enabling Auto-Update will change the license behavior of Ideate Sticky — a Cloud or Network license will be retained until the Revit model with Auto-update ON is closed. This change will affect all users in the model after they perform a Sync with Central or reload latest.
Select one or more Stickies, then use the Delete button to remove them from the project.
