Ideate Software applications can be licensed inside secure or air-gapped networks. If you wish to use our applications in such environments, the following options are available:
- FlexLM Network licensing (recommended) - supported for all Ideate Software applications. The setup process is the same as regular FlexLM network licenses. All machines inside the network can be given access to the licenses. The following needs to be transferred into the secure environment: FlexLM License Server setup file, ideate.exe vendor daemon - one time only. License file - a text file, needs to be updated once a year. Read more about setting up the license server in this article.
- Standalone Licenses - All Ideate Applications except Ideate Automation. A text based 'request code' is generated by each application instance once a year. This is used outside, on a website to generate a response 'activation code' which needs to be transferred back inside the secure environment and entered into the application. Only recommended for a small number of machines. Supported for versions 2018 and forward. See this article for more info about the offline activation process.
Note: Cloud network licenses cannot be used in offline environments.
