Automation for IdeateApps

Ideate Automation is a scripting solution for use with Ideate Software solutions. This topic covers how Ideate Automation can be used to run some of the IdeateApps tools silently. Before you begin please refer to the Ideate Automation Getting Started instructions.

IdeateApps Commands

Automation of IdeateApps is currently designed to support functions related to exporting data to from Ideate ExportHub, Ideate SpellCheck, and Ideate Annotate. You can manually export the product-specific content as described within each of the related help topics. When Ideate Automation is used to export the same content, the process can be scheduled to run daily or weekly and will run Revit un-attended, to save time and ensure consistency.

These are the IdeateApps commands that are currently supported for use with Ideate Automation scripts.

SPLProcessWords — For the specified list of words in a Revit file, generate the Ideate SpellCheck summary report as a .txt file.
ANNExportIssues — For the specified Revit file, export any non-dismissed Ideate Annotate issue to a .csv or .xlsx file.
HUBImportPackageFromFileCommand — For the specified Revit file, import the specified .HUB file for use during the session as part of the HUBExportFilesCommand.
HUBExportFilesCommand — Using the specified HUB information, export the specified file type(s) to the location(s) defined.
