     Ideate ExportHub  Ideate ExportHub can be found on the Ideate Software tab on the IdeateApps ribbon. This tool is essential for anyone who needs to generate PDF, DWG, NWC, IFC, DWF, DWFx, DXF, or Image output from Revit. There are two primary workflows within Ideate ExportHub, each has its own dedicated Getting Started exercise below: Quick Export and Batch Export. 

    Quick Export

    Use Quick Export to generate new PDF, DWG, NWC, IFC, DWF, DWFx, DXF, or Image files from your Revit project. This option is ideal for ad-hoc exports or single view exports. For exports that will be repeated later, consider using Batch Export to standardize all output decisions for all Revit users.

    In this exercise we will use the Revit sample file named Snowden Towers Sample Structural.rvt.

    Quick Export with Ideate ExportHub

    1. Open S103 — Second Level Sheet.
    2. From the Ideate Software>IdeateApps ribbon, launch Ideate ExportHub.
    3. The Export Type will be PDF, leave this as-is.
    4. The Export Setup will be <Default PDF>, switch this to Ideate-Individual
    5. The Sheet/View Set will be <Active View>. Since the active view is Sheet S103, this is what will be exported.
    6. Leave the Naming Rule as “Sheets”. This is a sample naming rule that uses Sheet Number-Sheet Name as the format for the individual PDF files. 
    7. Notice the default value for the Path and change as desired to control where the new PDF file will be created.
    8. Select the Quick Export button. When the file is done you will see a summary and be able to select a button to open the file location.

    Batch Export

    Use Batch Export to control the consistency of your PDF, DWG, NWC, IFC, DWF, DWFx, DXF, and/or Image file exports from your Revit project. This option is ideal for those who need to repeat an export process over time and want the file naming, file location, and sheet/view sets to be consistent. 

    For ad-hoc exports consider using Quick Export.

    1. Continuing in the same Revit file, activate the Batch Export section of Ideate ExportHub, below Quick Export.
    2. Two example packages are available for testing: PDF and DWG. Select the PDF package.
    3. This package contains two Export Definitions: PDF Individual and PDF Combined. When you select the Batch Export button both exports will be created, resulting in one package with 11 PDF files, each with the sheet number and another combined PDF file containing each of the 11 sheets.
