    Sorting by Category View in Revit with Ideate Explorer

    The Sort By option is only available on the Explore tab. Read: Explore the Annotative Revit Model and Elements with Ideate Explorer.

    The default Sort By setting is "Category". This sorts the elements by Revit category, similar to the Project Browser (except that the Ideate Explorer includes many elements that are not displayed within the Project Browser).  

    When the Sort By is set to Category, the Results are displayed in a hierarchy:

    NOTE: Unlike the other Sort By options, the Category sort is optimized for speed and displays information on a need-to-know-basis.
