Getting Started with Ideate Sticky for Revit
Adding a Sticky to your Revit project with Ideate Sticky is like adding a stickyback to your sheets - a great way to provide important, non-BIM data to your Revit project. How do we do this? Ideate Sticky creates and manages the header text within the Revit Schedule. This header text can support many non-BIM needs including code lists, general notes, consultant data, or any other kinds of tabular non-BIM data.
The best way to get started with Ideate Sticky is to use some of the sample Excel files provided.
Use Sample Files
- Open the Sheet view where you want to place the Sticky and then launch Ideate Sticky. Read: Starting Ideate Sticky for Revit.
- Select the Create... button in the lower left-hand corner.
- Identify an Excel file to import by picking the "..." button next to the Excel file selector.
- Identify the Worksheet within the Excel file that contains the information you want to import.
- Choose the Worksheet region.
- Review the Sticky name - this will be the name that displays within the Project Browser, under the Schedule folder.
- After picking OK the new Sticky will be placed in the center of the active Sheet view.
