ViewCreator Settings

The settings in Ideate ViewCreator allow you to manage the rule library, control view heights and offsets, and adjust the visibility of graphical elements. Any changes you make to these settings will become the default values for all new views created using ViewCreator.

Rule Library Path

Room/Space/Area Views

When creating new plan or elevation views for rooms, spaces, or areas, you can use the dimensional controls to adjust the offset from the view boundary.

3D Section Views

For 3D views, dimensional controls allow you to adjust the offset of the view boundary when creating a new section.

Default Height
Allows you to set the default height for the view boundary

Level Above Offset
Controls the location of the upper edge of the view bounding box by setting an offset from the level above

Base Level Offset
Controls the location of the upper edge of the view bounding box by setting an offset from the base level 

Ceiling/Roof Category Visibility
You can control the visibility of ceiling and roof elements within new views:

Hide category -  Hides ceilings and roofs in newly created views.
Leave as-is - Retains the visibility of ceilings and roofs in newly created views.
Set category transparent - Retains the visibility of ceilings and roofs in newly created views, and sets their transparency to 60%

Additional Settings

Save Orientation and Lock View
Saves the orientation of and locks the newly created view 

Hide Section Box
Hides the section box in the newly created view
