    • Batch Export Packages

    Save all your favorite exports as packages with Batch Export Packages to save you and your team time and improve accuracy. Once a package is created, it will be saved within the active Revit project file and can also be exported for re-use in other projects. You can test-drive Batch Export Packages as part of the Getting Started Guide. In this topic we will go deeper into the details of packages.

    Create a New Package

    A package can be created by either:

    Once a package is created, be sure to review the values for Name, Default Path, Subpackage Name. To use the Project Location path (recommended) you should delete the value for Default path in order to reset the value to <Default>. When using the New button, this will be the standard value.

    Tip: Multi-select packages to export more than one at a time; they will be exported sequentially.

    Add a New Subpackage

    If you find that you are always needing to export the same set of files at the same time, you may find that creating other subpackages will be useful. For example, the sample package called PDF has two subpackages which are both PDFs but are set to export to different folder locations. You can also import the Bonus sample package called DWG-PDF, shown below, which will export DWGs and PDFs sequentially. To add a new subpackage, double-click on existing package to open the Edit Package dialog, then select the New button.

    Import/Export packages

    To standardize the file export results from Revit across multiple Revit files, use Ideate ExportHub and the import/export options. A package file (.HUB) can be created to capture all relevant settings for re-use. Learn more: Import and Export Packages
