Ideate Cloud Connector

The purpose of the Ideate Cloud Connector custom integration is to use the Autodesk API to authenticate the user and to enable Ideate Automation to see and access hub names, project names, and Revit model names for which the user has the appropriate permissions. All access to the models is controlled via Autodesk Forma (aka BIM 360, aka ACC). Ideate Automation uses the following free APIs: Authentication, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Data Management. This sample email can be sent to your hub partners to request integration on their end if needed.

NOTE: The Autodesk Hub/BIM 360 Administrator must complete these steps.

Open your company’s Autodesk Forma (BIM 360/ACC Account) Hub. Go to Account Admin < Apps
Use Ctrl+F to find “ideate” on this page.
Select the Ideate Cloud Connector integration app.
Select add to BIM 360
Select Authorize to approve the integration permissions.
Congratulations, the Ideate Cloud Connector is now configured!
