Ideate Cloud Connector

The purpose of the Ideate Cloud Connector custom integration is to use the Autodesk API to authenticate the user and to enable Ideate Automation to see and access hub names, project names, and Revit model names for which the user has the appropriate permissions. All access to the models is controlled via Autodesk BIM 360/ ACC. This sample email can be sent to your hub partners to request integration on their end if needed.

NOTE The Autodesk BIM 360 Account Administrator must complete these steps.

  1. Open your company’s BIM 360 Account/Hub.  Go to Account Admin < Apps
  2. Use Ctrl+F to find “ideate” on this page.
  3. Select the Ideate Cloud Connector integration app.
  4. Select add to BIM 360
  5. Select Authorize to approve the integration permissions.
  6. Congratulations, the Ideate Cloud Connector is now configured!

Next step: Launch Ideate Automation from your Desktop and use the Refresh List option from the Manage tab to create your list of active Revit files. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected]
