Who Did That?

Keeping an eye on who is both creating and modifying the Revit model is possible through the use of the sample Quality Control (QC) link called “QC-MC-WhoDidThis”. Within this multi-category (MC) link you will find two unique Ideate BIMLink properties, which were added in May of 2018: “Created by” and “Last Updated by”.

This link is setup to include most of the data categories, but you may find it more valuable to filter this on a few select categories. For example, by selecting only the Levels and Grids you can understand the ownership of these important datum elements.

NOTES:

  1. The “Last Updated by” property is only available in worksharing projects and identifies the user name of the person who last updated the elements and synchronized with the central file.
  2. If a new central file is created these two properties will be overwritten to the person creating the new file.
