No. A new service for the Ideate Software will be created and run side-by-side with any existing FlexLM daemon. Any existing services, such as Autodesk (adskflex.exe), will not be interrupted by this process. See more here.
Opening multiple year versions of Ideate Software will consume multiple seats of FlexLM license (i.e. Ideate BIMLink 2025 & 2027 = 2 network seats consumed).
Ideate Software FlexLM network licenses may not be distributed across multiple servers, except for customers with Enterprise Licensing. Redundant license setup is not supported. We recommend to configure Ideate licenses on the ‘Master’ server. If you have further questions about multiple servers, contact [email protected].
Ideate Software is utilizing LMTools. This is the same technology used by Autodesk Revit network (token based) licensing.

The system requirements for the server installation of Ideate Software mirror the LMTools requirements. The license manager itself is a lightweight application that consumes very little system resources. In essence any machine capable of running Windows will do.
